Council of Marine Carriers President

Many of you are already aware that Capt. Phill Nelson is retiring from his position as President of the Council of Marine Carriers in July of this year.

Leo Stradiotti, Chairman of the CMC Board of Directors, is pleased to announce that a recent search for a replacement President was successful. Leo is extremely happy to advise that the Board has selected Mr. Paul Hilder as the successful candidate.

Paul brings many years of maritime experience with him to the Council, having started as a deckhand on tugs and various other vessels in the mid 1980’s. He followed a focused career within the industry, both afloat and ashore, until his recent retirement from Seaspan ULC where he was the Vice-President of Marine Operations.

Paul will commence working for CMC in February and will work alongside Phill until July at which point he will assume the role of President.
